You give the task. The agent does the work.

An AI agent opens your documents, uses the right tools and writes the files. You don’t explain every step.

Tenders on the same basis. In minutes.

ArchX reads every returned tender, recalculates the totals, prices the exclusions and qualifications and writes the tender analysis, the tender report and the clarification questions.

Planning

Find the gaps before the council does.

ArchX checks your drawings against the council’s validation requirements, works out the fee, flags what is missing or contradictory and drafts the supporting documents.

Files in. Finished files out.

ArchX works in your project folder. It reads what is there, does the work and saves editable files you can open, change and send.

An agent, not a chatbot.

ArchX works on your computer the way your team does: it opens programs, uses the browser, looks things up and writes the files.

On your computer

  • Operates your programs with computer control: clicks, types, scrolls and uses the menus.
  • Opens web pages in its own Chrome or Edge window, reads them, clicks and fills in forms.
  • Researches products, regulations and background, and gives the sources.
  • Finds what you agreed in earlier projects and conversations.

From your words

  • Takes dictation and meeting recordings; speech recognition runs on your computer.
  • Turns notes into minutes with decisions, actions, owners and dates.
  • Creates visualisations from a description and edits images precisely, with your ChatGPT account.
  • Sets itself up: practice profile, letterhead, templates and projects.

Asked briefly.

What is ArchX?

ArchX is the AI agent for architecture practices in the UK: a desktop app for Mac and Windows that opens the drawings and documents in your project folder and does the work. It compares tenders, checks planning applications, sets out the Building Regulations route, draws editable plans, builds 3D models and drafts letters, reports and certificates under JCT Minor Works 2024, in British English on A4.

Which AI does ArchX work with?

Each person connects their own ChatGPT account, Plus or higher, or an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral or xAI. You can switch provider at any time; projects, conversations and results stay. For practices of two or more people, ChatGPT Business fits well: central billing, and your content is not used for training by default.

Where do our drawings and documents go?

Your files stay in your project folder; ArchX keeps no project server of its own. What a task needs goes from your computer straight to the AI provider you connected, with no service in between. An API key stays in the key store of your computer: the Keychain on a Mac, Credential Manager on Windows. Your data

Is ArchX only for projects in England?

No. Drawings, tenders, documents, 3D models and minutes work for any project. The planning and Building Regulations knowledge follows the rules for England, and Wales with a clear notice; for Scotland and Northern Ireland, ArchX works from the sources you supply.
